Employee Benefits in Singapore
Employers in Singapore must be aware of numerous types of benefits and leave that workers are entitled to under Singaporean law, including (but not limited to) sick leave, parental leave, and workers’ compensation. As of 2026, laws governing statutory benefits and leave can be found in the labor codes listed below. (Other laws, legally binding precedents, and collective bargaining agreements in may apply.)

National holidays in Singapore
Employees in Singapore are entitled to 11 national holidays under the Employment Act, as well as the days of general and presidential elections. The dates are affirmed each year by the Ministry of Manpower. Holidays in Singapore include:
- Jan. 1: New Year's Day
- Chinese New Year (Singapore recognizes the first two days of each year of the Chinese calendar as public holidays.)
- Good Friday
- Vesak Day (Wesak Day)
- Hari Raya Puasa (Eid al-Fitr)
- Hari Raya Haji (Eid al-Adha)
- May 1: Labor Day
- Aug. 9: National Day
- Deepavali (Diwali)
- Dec. 25: Christmas
Annual leave in Singapore
Singaporean law guarantees paid annual leave to employees based on the amount of time they have worked. As of 2026, the rates are as follows:

| 1 – 8 years | 7 + (1 day for each year worked) |
| 8+ years | 14 |
If annual leave days are not used within a 12-month period, they are forfeited. Employees also lose their annual leave allowance if they have unexcused absences for more than 20% of their working days in one year.
Sick leave in Singapore
Singapore law entitles employees to paid sick leave according to their length of service. The thresholds are noted below.
