Denmark Creates New Immigration Pathway for Certified Employers

Starting in 2027, qualifying Danish employers will be able to bring labor from certain countries into Denmark through a collective agreement-based scheme that was approved in early September 2026.
To benefit from this scheme, Danish employers must satisfy the following criteria:
- They’ve been operating for at least two years.
- They have at least 10 full-time employees in Denmark.
- They are currently covered by a collective agreement concluded by the Danish Employers’ Association and the Danish Trade Union Confederation.
Additional criteria apply, which can be accessed on this page. Certification for the scheme is handled by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.
Employees hired through this scheme must earn a minimum (annually adjusted) salary of 322,000 DKK (~$50,100 USD).
The countries from which workers can be hired under this scheme are:
| Albania | Moldova |
| Australia | Montenegro |
| Brazil | North Macedonia |
| Canada | Serbia |
| China | Singapore |
| India | Ukraine |
| Japan | United Kingdom |
| Malaysia | United States |
The scheme goes into effect on January 1, 2027.
